Joseph Luik, a New York resident, is a Partner and Investment Committee member of Cypress Capital Group.
Joseph is Co-Managing Partner and Chairman of the Investment Committee of Mountain Path Capital, a vertically integrated real estate investment manager that acquires dislocated under-valued assets.
Joseph is a leading institutional real estate investment expert, having worked for 27 years at TIAA, a $900 Billion pension fund. He served as the head of TIAA Mortgage and Real Estate for 7 years, overseeing $60 billion portfolios of real estate assets and managing an annual investment program of $9 billion. He also served as a CEO of TIAA Realty, a $5 billion market cap private REIT, and CEO of Mall of America associates. Joseph is on the Board of Directors of MREN, a network platform that provides deal based collaboration capabilities and data management for the real estate and real assets sectors. He serves on the Board of the Community Mediation Services, a not-for-profit agency that provides programs for individuals, youth, and families encountering obstacles. Mr. Luik is a former Board Director of the Real Estate Round Table and the NYU Real Estate Advisory Council.
Joseph holds a B.S. degree in Business and Economics and an M.B.A. degree in Finance from Hofstra University.
